So, I’m taking a big course on UX design. Naturally, we work in Figma. And we have to send all completed tasks to the curator for review. One of the school’s requirements is that the Figma file must be immediately available to the reviewer for editing.
I have been working in Figma for several years, I know this program very well, I can also share files, I have done it many times. But imagine my surprise that I could not find this switch right away. And the first completed task had to be sent for verification only in the viewing mode (can view).
Naturally, in response from the curator I received a video instruction for dummies on how to enable the Can Edit option.
Figma share file
But damn, I’m not a teapot Where the curator has it, for some reason I don’t. Watch the animation ⇓
no Can Edit in Figma
You can choose by invitation, but not for everyone.
This can’t be the case. I had to figure it out.
By the way, when the curator had already entered the file and appeared in the list of users with limited access , then I was able to change his status to Can Edit. But for my studies, this option was not suitable, because the ability to edit is needed immediately, and not when I approve
Addition…
It turned out that this method doesn’t help everyone, so we started digging further…
If the first option doesn’t work, create a new empty file in the Drafts section and check how it is with Share, whether it can be shared egypt phone number library with editing. Try moving this empty file around different sections of your account and see if anything changes.
If not, then you most likely have the most difficult case you could encounter. Some kind of glitch related to the account and registration. This is when sharing and editing on the account can only be given to team members and invitees. It is not possible to give such access to anyone via a link.
I have witnessed two such cases in the last month
Figma support responded that they do not know what the problem could be. Through experience, we have found out that only one option works. This one:
Solution 2
Log out of your account and log in with diary of training at uprock school (part 1) another one. For example, if you registered via email, log in with Google and vice versa.
Test the new account. Does everything share as it should? Well then, move your project from one account to another. There are no other options. It is reassuring that this is a disease of new, recently created accounts (I have not encountered it on old ones yet). This kuwait data means that changing the account is not a big problem, while there are few projects.
