What we were missing: a “German” who gives advice on writing in Spanish. The truth is that due to the lack of a thorough education during my childhood in Germany, my command of the language is only 95% and I make some stylistic and grammar mistakes. I am “lucky” that blogs are no longer read but scanned, so many people don’t even notice…
Obviously I don’t like making these mistakes and daily practice combined with feedback from some readers helps me keep improving.
Writing well is not only about not making writing mistakes
An essential element is the writer’s ability to convey a message and generate an impact on the people who read their articles. Over the last 7 years as a blogger I have learned a few things that do not depend on the language in which you write.
1. Tell a story at the beginning : When you write a post, it is key to hook the visitor to avoid them running away as fast as they arrived. If you can, share your own story. Although it may not seem like it at times, people are interested in the lives of others. We want to learn from their mistakes and live the experiences “together” with them. If you write in a blog format, you can’t help but share a part of your own life as well.
2. Write like you talk: I’m not saying that you should use the “bad words” you use when talking to friends. Don’t try to create complicated sentences estonia phone number library that make you seem smarter. In most cases, the exact opposite happens. People will think you’re an idiot because you make them feel arrogant and haughty. I’m not saying that such a strategy can’t work in some cases. For most of us, failure is certain. 3. Reference prominent authors : It’s good to share your knowledge. The truth is that if you limit yourself to what you know, you won’t get very far. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel and in no case sell third-party content as your own ideas. If you reference other blogs and authors, you have the possibility of standing out because you know the references. It’s a way of showing humility.
Be as specific as possible
When you write about a topic, try to give examples. If you can, add figures and data.
